Puppers.. aka Shadow, officially named Shadowfax (but that sounded too much like a piece of office quipment).

Adopted as a young pup living on the hot arrid plains of eastern Colorado. He is now quite pampered and claiming an expensive reclining chair as his own.

He is one of the larger Basset Hounds to be seen, weighing in at around 90 pounds the last time I took him to the recycling center scale.

Nicola.. adopted from a box of free puppies in front of Safeway.

She's about 11 years old, feisty, lean and will not let me out of her sight.

Completely unconrtollable in her adolescent years, she escaped frequently and mated with a neighbor's pet wolf. Giving birth to seven really uncontrollable pups.

Poor Puppers.. He has green feet.
It's not bad enough that he had to go and get a pedicure. He has toenails like "actual nails". The girl at the groomer had to pull out the heavy equipment. Shadow ended up with two bleeding nails. Didn't seem to phase him though.

Shadowfax Now I mowed the lawn and those nice white legs are green. Oh well, I got green tennies too.
